We have clients who come in and wish to have a new look on their piece and to replace the old stone with one of a different type. We can switch the stone types on your piece or upgrade them as you see fit.

There are some stones that are softer than others. In these cases, softer stones wouldn’t be the ideal choice to be set on pieces that are to be worn every day or in active settings.

Furthermore, some stones do have other characteristics that make them vulnerable in other circumstances as well - such as how a stone reacts to direct sunlight. Some stones such as Opals are sensitive to light radiation and will fade over time with consistent exposure.

Prior to replacing an existing stone, during our consultation, we will outline any concerns to keep in mind when finding a suitable stone.

The lead time for replacing a stone on your piece depends on the sourcing of it.

At a minimum, gemstone replacements take a week. If the stone you’d like has to be sourced elsewhere, the project would take longer.
